Long Magatama glass beads from Japanese company Miyuki have a petal oval shape with edges beveled in one direction. The hole is large shifted to a narrow edge. The shape was found in ancient Japan made from clay and stone. The word magatama means "curved ball". The beads create the effect of dragon scales, pine cones, grapes, spikes. Long magatamas are ideal for sharpening embroidery, kumihimo cords, creating fringes, bracelets, necklaces. 10 grams of Matagama contains about 80 beads.
