Farfalle Seed Beads

Farfalle PRECIOSA beads are the most used type of glass seed beads. They were created in Venice, Italy in the 15th century. These beads have been produced industrially in Bohemia since the 18th century. The exceptional PRECIOSA Farfalle seed bead from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads brand is named after the Italian word for a butterfly, Farfalla.

They are little beads in the form of butterflies. The elliptical hole is located in the narrowed central section of the bead so that, allows the beads to fit into one another creating an interesting texture, even when simply strung on a strand.
